Well, from August 1, 2010 through December 31, 2010, my weight, eating habits, and exercise were a roller coaster. By December 31, I had gained five pounds.
Enter 2011... My commitment is to pay closer attention to my diet. I have downloaded an app on my phone to keep up with it using Weight Watchers PointsPlus system. I can also record my activities there and my weigh ins. It's time to get serious about this. I even bought a Weight Watchers cookbook. I tried the first recipe today and it turned out pretty good!
I began this blog hoping that if I make my weight-loss struggle known to all that it will be easier for me to do it--more accountability. I would also be extremely embarrassed if I failed at this. Here we go! Also, I have posted a link to Amazon's fitness department. Getting Started
Someone asked for a picture of me yesterday. I could only find ONE that showed more than just my head, neck, and shoulders. The one I found was not flattering (and taken in Dec 2007). I know I have gained weight since then.

So, I went to Walmart and bought a Jillian Michaels DVD called 30 Day Shred. A friend of mine uses it and she said it's good. I signed up to receive emails from Jillian and Bob. I also began following them on Twitter. Bob posts links to YouTube videos of workouts. AWESOME! I took a Biggest Loser type picture. It's HORRID! I'm totally embarrassed by how I look. I'm going to print this picture and hang it on the bedroom door so that is the first thing I see in the morning. Maybe it making me sick every morning will be incentive, huh?


I chose this background because just like the little birdies I want the pounds to fly away! BYE BYE!!!
